Privacy Policy

Effective 3 November 2026. What the SitBite app collects, why, who sees it, and how you can see, change or delete it.

In short: we collect only what SitBite needs to work for you. We don't show ads, sell your data or use third-party tracking, and you can delete your account and everything in it at any time.

SitBite helps parents plan and track their baby's first foods. SitBite is run by Velugma Solutions, Gachibowli, Hyderabad, India ("we", "us"). This policy covers the SitBite app and this website. Using SitBite is also subject to our Terms of Use.

SitBite is meant for parents and caregivers aged 18 or over. You give us information about your baby as their parent or guardian.

1. What we collect

Your account

  • Your name and email address, and your Google account ID, from Google Sign-In. We never see your Google password.
  • Your language setting.

About your baby (what you enter)

  • Nickname, date of birth and weeks of pregnancy at birth (used to correct the age of babies born early).
  • Whether you have told us your baby has a higher allergy risk, their allergen status (for example "tried" or "had a reaction"), the texture pace you chose, and your family's diet (veg, egg or non-veg).

What you log and plan

  • Meals your baby ate: date, meal, foods, whether they liked it, and your notes.
  • Suspected reactions: date, food, severity, symptoms and your notes.
  • Meal plans, grocery lists and favourite recipes.

Allergy, reaction and symptom information is health information about your baby. We treat it with extra care (see section 6).

Technical information

  • Sign-in tokens that keep you signed in. We store only a scrambled (hashed) form of them.
  • Our server records basic request details, such as your IP address, the time and the action requested, to keep the service running and secure.

We do not collect your location, contacts, photos, or your phone's advertising ID. SitBite has no advertising and no third-party analytics or tracking.

2. Why we use it

  • To run your account and keep you signed in.
  • To show recipes, food guides and meal plans that suit your baby's age, textures, diet and allergen history, and to warn you about foods that may not be safe for them.
  • To keep your meal and reaction history so you can see it, and so the app can hold back foods your baby reacted to.
  • To keep the service secure, fix problems and prevent misuse.

We use your information only for these purposes, based on the consent you give when you sign up and add your baby. We do not use it to profile you for advertising, and we never sell it.

SitBite gives general feeding information. It is not medical advice. If you are worried about your baby, talk to your doctor. In an emergency, call 112 or 108.

3. What you control

You can see and change your baby's details, and delete a baby, a meal, a plan, a grocery list or a favourite, at any time in the app. Deleting a baby deletes their allergen history, meals, reactions and plans with it.

4. Who we share it with

We do not sell, rent or trade your information. We share it only with:

  • Google, to sign you in. Google's own privacy policy covers your Google account.
  • Our hosting provider, GoDaddy, which runs the server and database where your data is stored, in Singapore. They store it for us and may not use it for anything else.
  • Google Play or the Apple App Store, if paid features are added later: they handle payment, and we receive only a purchase reference and status, never your card details.
  • Authorities, only when the law requires it.

Because our server is in Singapore, your information is stored outside India, as Indian law allows.

5. How long we keep it

We keep your information while your account is open. When you delete something in the app, it is removed from our database straight away. When you delete your account in the app, your account and all your babies' data are deleted straight away; requests by email are handled within 30 days. Backup copies, if any, are overwritten within 30 days, and server logs are kept for up to 30 days.

6. How we protect it

  • All traffic between the app and our server is encrypted (HTTPS).
  • Each account can reach only its own babies and records.
  • Sign-in tokens are stored only in hashed form on our server, and in your phone's secure storage.
  • Access to the database is limited to the people who run SitBite, and it is not open to the internet.

No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your information, we will tell you and the authorities as the law requires.

7. Your rights

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can:

  • ask for a summary of the information we hold about you and your baby;
  • correct or update it;
  • delete your account and all its data: in the app under Settings → Delete account, or as described on our account deletion page;
  • withdraw consent (which means deleting your account, since SitBite cannot work without the data);
  • nominate someone to act for you if you die or cannot act;
  • complain to us, and if we don't resolve it, to the Data Protection Board of India.

To make a request, email velugmasolutions@gmail.com from the email address on your account. We will reply within 30 days.

8. This website

www.sitbite.com uses no cookies, analytics or tracking. It is hosted by GitHub, which records visitors' IP addresses for security, as described in GitHub's privacy statement. If you email us, we use your email only to reply to you.

9. Changes

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top and tell you in the app before important changes take effect.
