Terms of Use

1. About these terms

These terms are an agreement between you and Velugma Solutions, Gachibowli, Hyderabad, India ("we", "us"), for the SitBite app and the website www.sitbite.com (together, "SitBite"). By creating an account or using SitBite, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use SitBite.

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information and is part of these terms.

2. SitBite is not medical advice

• Talk to your paediatrician before starting solid food, and before introducing allergens if your baby has severe eczema, a known food allergy or another medical condition.
• If your baby was born early, has a medical condition or has special dietary needs, follow your doctor's advice over anything in SitBite.
• SitBite's safety checks and warnings help you make choices; they cannot know everything about your baby and may not catch every risk.
• In an emergency, such as trouble breathing, swelling of the face or lips, or a baby who is pale or floppy, call 112 or 108 straight away. Don't rely on the app.

3. Feeding safely is your responsibility

You decide what your baby eats and how it is prepared. When you use SitBite:

• Always stay with your baby while they eat, with them sitting upright.
• Prepare food to the size and texture shown for your baby's stage, and check temperature before serving.
• Check every ingredient against your baby's allergies, including packaged foods and their labels.
• Follow good hygiene and food storage practices.
• Keep the details you give SitBite (such as date of birth, weeks at birth, allergies and reactions) accurate and up to date, because recommendations depend on them.

4. Your account

• You must be at least 18 years old and a parent, guardian or caregiver of the baby whose details you add, with their parent's permission where you are not the parent.
• You sign in with Google. Keep your Google account and phone secure; you are responsible for what happens in your SitBite account.
• Tell us at velugmasolutions@gmail.com if you think someone else has used your account.

5. Using SitBite

SitBite is for your personal, non-commercial use. Please don't:

• copy, resell or republish SitBite's recipes, guides or other content;
• try to access other people's accounts or data, or interfere with how SitBite works;
• scrape, reverse engineer or overload SitBite, or use it to build a competing service;
• use SitBite for anything unlawful or harmful.

6. Our content and yours

SitBite's recipes, guides, text, design and software belong to Velugma Solutions or our licensors and are protected by law. We give you a personal, revocable right to use them within SitBite.

The information you add (your baby's details, logs, notes and lists) remains yours. You allow us to store and process it only to provide SitBite to you, as described in the Privacy Policy.

We work to keep our content accurate and reviewed, but nutrition guidance changes over time. If you spot something that looks wrong, please tell us.

7. Free and paid features

SitBite is free during the beta. If we add paid features later, we will show the price and what you get before you pay. Payments and subscriptions go through Google Play or the Apple App Store and follow their terms, including how to cancel and request refunds. Deleting your SitBite account does not cancel a store subscription; cancel it in the store.

8. Availability and changes

We aim to keep SitBite running smoothly but can't promise it will always be available or free of errors, especially during the beta. We may change, add or remove features. If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will tell you in the app before the changes take effect; continuing to use SitBite after that means you accept them.

9. Ending your use

You can stop using SitBite and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts others at risk, and will tell you why unless the law prevents it.

10. Liability

SitBite is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows:

• we are not responsible for decisions you make about feeding your baby, or for harm that results from not following your doctor's advice or the safety steps in section 3;
• we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses;
• our total liability to you for any claim about SitBite is limited to the amount you paid us for SitBite in the 12 months before the claim, or ₹1,000 if you paid nothing.

Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law that cannot be limited, or our liability where the law does not allow it to be limited.

11. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India. If you have a problem, please contact us first and we will try to resolve it. Any dispute that we can't resolve goes to the courts of Hyderabad, Telangana, subject to your rights as a consumer.
